This work presents an emotional story of a love affair between Beatrice Granger, an unmarried school teacher, and Geoffrey Bingham, a dissatisfied married lawyer who lives in London. It all starts after Beatrice saves Geoffrey's life in an accident during a storm, and the two become interested in one another.
