Inhabited Island is the first part of a trilogy about the life and adventures of the 22nd century progressor Maxim Kammerer.
The Progressor starship crashed on a forgotten planet far from the main space routes. Progressors are agents of a special intergalactic service of the Earth, who must incognito infiltrate the societies of less developed planets and contribute to their historical and social development as much as possible.
But on this planet, which the inhabitants themselves call Sarraksh, Kammerer has a difficult job ahead - apocalyptic cruelty, meanness and cynicism reign here.
