My ideasalso rely on my own life experiencesuch as 33 years of mental illnessand hospitalisations As I probed thedoctrines and beliefs, I graduallycame to dismiss or modify them toform a logical and truthful faith. The most critical aspect of my searchfor the truth came by way of the salestax case (described in more detail inthe book), which triggered my firstmanic episode back in 1984. Fromthat time on, I learned to followthe leading of God through mymanic episodes from 1984 to 2017. Each episode, though unusual andvery manic, taught me to followGods will until I truly became aservant of God in my daily life. Iam a much more caring and sharingperson now than I was before myfirst episode. I have learned that Godis the spirit of goodness, and I try tolet Gods Holy Spirit (inner voice) oflove, truth, kindness etc. invade myspiritual and daily life.
