Ulrike Weller ist seit 1995 am Landesmuseum Hannover tätig, wo sie die archäologische Sammlung betreut. In der AG ARCHÄOLOGIETHESAURUS ist sie seit der Gründung Mitglied und zeichnet für die Bestimmungsbücher Archäologie, Band 2: Äxte und Beile, Band 4: Kosmetisches und medizinisches Gerät (mit Ronald Heynowski und Hartmut Kaiser), Band 6: Dolche und Schwerter sowie Band 8: Messer und Erntegeräte verantwortlich.
