'The Enforcement of Animal Law, in Particular through Representative Actions Brought by Animal Protection Associations' On the one hand, the thesis deals with the enforcement deficits of animal law in Germany. On the other hand, the introduction of representative actions to German animal law is examined and discussed whether it is suitable to reduce existing enforcement deficits. Representative actions enable certain animal protection associations to act as 'lawyers of the animals' before the administrative courts and to complain about objective legal infringements in the field of animal law.

Yasemin Groß studierte nach dem Abitur von 2009 bis 2015 Rechtswissenschaften an der Freien Universität in Berlin. Vom Sommer 2015 bis Herbst 2017 entstand die vorliegende Dissertation in Berlin, mit der sie im Mai 2018 an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin promoviert wurde. Seit November 2017 absolviert sie den juristischen Vorbereitungsdienst am Kammergericht Berlin mit Stationen beim Amtsgericht Charlottenburg, bei der Staatsanwaltschaft Berlin, beim Bundeskanzleramt und bei einem Berliner Strafverteidiger.
