Moritz Gärtner studierte ab 2011 Rechtswissenschaften an der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München und absolvierte im Anschluss das Rechtsreferendariat im Bezirk des OLG München. Der deutschen Ausbildung folgte 2019/2020 ein internationales LL.M.-Studium an der University of Stellenbosch in Südafrika. Er arbeitete ab 2020 begleitend zur Promotion als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter in der internationalen Wirtschaftskanzlei Hogan Lovells in München. Seit 2023 ist er dort als Rechtsanwalt in der Praxisgruppe Arbeitsrecht tätig. Promoviert wurde Moritz Gärtner im Jahr 2025 von der Universität Leipzig.
