The famous saying beauty lies in the eye of the beholder holds true for a seemingly simple procedure like for example; selection of denture teeth in patients with few or all teeth missing. Given the social significance of dental aesthetics and the varying perception of aesthetics in the modern dental patient, this scientific study explores the relationship between ethnicity and dental aesthetics. It involves subjects from differing ethnic backgrounds to see that while choosing teeth for themselves from a manufacturer's mould guide and shade guide do they choose the appropriate teeth for their ethnicity - what motivates their decision?
