Gamma-Alumina Nanocatalysts for Production of DME from Methanol

Because it has no negative impact on environment, nowadays, dimethyl ether (DME) has been received many attention. DME can be produced by methanol dehydration over a solid acid catalyst. The new nano-sized porous -Al2O3 with high surface area, high activity, and appropriate acidity was prepared for this purpose. The synthesized catalyst was successfully tested in the fixed bed reactor for production of DME from Methanol. The experimental procedure and other scientific works in this field has been completely explained in this book. The book is strongly suggested to the researchers of the nano-catalyst field and producers of -Al2O3.

Seyyed Yaghoob Hosseini is a Chemical Engineering PhD Candidate at Petroleum University of Technology, where he serves as researcher of the Gas Engineering Department. He has authored more than 10 scientific publications. His current research interests are in the areas of nano-catalysts, reactor design and simulation of oil and gas processes.
