Phosphorus Nutrition in Maize Raised in Saline and Alkaline soil

Need of phosphorus to maize crop is very important. But the availability of Phosphorus is very limited in Indian soils due to fixation and leaching losses. In particular, salt affected soils are showing poor response to applied Phosphorus fertilization. In this regard, application of organic manures along with inorganic Phosphorus and Microorganisms will play a major role in release of Phosphorus in soils. That practice is clearly dealt in this manuscript.

Dr. M.MANIMARAN graduated in 2003 from Tamilnadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, India. He obtained his Master Degree in the same Univeristy in the year 2005. He obtained his Doctoral Degree from Annamalai University, Cidhambaram, India in the year 2008. He has got Vallalar Endownment Award for his Best Academic Performance while doing Ph.D.
