Mentoring as sustainable means of developing young leaders for the African church. There is a need to promote the art of mentoring to develop leaders not only for churches but for the society at large. Mentoring has proven to be a useful tool in many business world for leadership and coaching, hence the church needs to tap from the power and the potential of young people through mentoring in order to develop them into leadership.

Dr. Chiroma is a full time lecturer at Jos ECWA theological seminary in Nigeria. He is also a research associate at the department of practical theology faculty of theology university of Stellenbosch. His research interest includes, mentoring, youth discipleship and spiritual formation.
