Pest problem have increased many folds during the last few decades inspite of heavey use of pest controlling chemicals. Most of the major pests have achieved the resistance whil3 the minor pests have assumed the status of major pests. The book has been written keeping in view the requirements of knowledge about the insect pests and diseases of ( banana, Fig and pomegranate ) and their management in Pakistan.

S.A. Khan obtained degree of M.Sc(Hons) in entomology from the University college of agriculture, University of Sargodha Punjab,Pakistan in september 2015. Mr. Shahmshad ahmed khan has published more than 20 research articales in different journals during M.phill.
