Some of the suggestions for dementia prevention mentioned here may be confusing at first. This is intentional. Dementia prevention requires a holistic approach. Aging people should leave familiar paths, ways of thinking and topics behind, accustoming themselves to new and unfamiliar ones. Examples of this are provided here that may seem strange at first glance. The examples are intended to encourage the reader to discover new topics for themselves. Salim M. Ali: Dr. rer. pol. Salim M. Ali, born in 1954 in India. He studied social sciences and economics in Germany. He has worked as a freelance author and writer for more than four decades. He is a translator and interpreter for several languages. He is a teacher in mathematics and English at the Bochum Study Group. From 1992 to 2010, he was a lecturer in the social sciences and economics departments at the University of Oldenburg.
