Laura has the idea of making Kurts painting nicer. Kurt is her beloved grandma Mariannes younger deceased brother. When Lauras brother Jonas hangs the painting back on the wall, it drops down and the picture frame shatters. They get into big trouble with their parents, especially with daddy. He thinks about punishing them by not letting them go on their annual holiday to Lake Garda with their beloved grandma Marianne. This drives the children to desperation. The Lords Prayer helps them understand Gods forgiveness and win peace.

Marlies Theurer was born in 1951 and worked as a nursery teacher in different playschools for 18 years. After a bike accident with traumatic brain injury she was not able to continue with her work. That is when she discovered her love of writing.
