Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Kersten is the director of the Institute of Business Logistics and General Management at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH). He has more than 10 years' experience in industry as senior manager at Daimler AG, as a senior researcher at Technische Universität München (TUM). Prof. Kersten is vice-chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board of the AiF German Federation of Industrial Research Associations and a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the German Logistics Association (BVL). His research interests include logistics and supply chain management, supply chain risk management, complexity management, and process optimization, undertaking various projects in these fields together with manufacturing industry and logistics service providers.
