ePortfolios are a new tool for documentation and reflection of competences in vocational training. They are used from the beginning of vocational orientation right down to further education counselling. The volume introduces important concepts and implementations of ePortfolios in various areas of education. These include eProfilPASS, the mobile training portfolio, the online report ledger BLok and the "career choice pass" (Berufswahlpass). Other articles analyse the importance and the vocational education potential of ePortfolios. In closing, the volume lists technological, conceptual and education policy challenges for the use of ePortfolios and offers thought-provoking impulses for their further development.
