A parental separation calls into question the established division of labour between them. In addition to the questions of the concrete organisation of the division of labour, gender identities are also negotiated: What forms of "common household" are desired, tolerated or even conceivable? In this process, the individual ideas of motherhood and fatherhood change and new forms are established.
