Today globalization is an undeniable phenomenon which brings a complex and chaotic business environment. In this situation, establishing and sustaining a supply chain can bring a competitive advantage to all parties. Meanwhile, information systems and technologies are both enabling to link the participants of a global supply chain effectively, and efficiently and providing coordination between them. However, these technologies, particularly digital technologies are changing and developing. This also provides new opportunities to whom on the way of digital transformation so-called industry 4.0. Thus, this book is devoted to information systems and contemporary information technologies and their applications in supply chains.

Batuhan Kocaoglu, Ph.D. and A.Zafer Acar, Ph.D. are experts in SCM, Logistics, Mgmt. and MIS. They have both academic and industrial experiences on the topic. They published several joint papers and books on logistics, supply chain, and information mgmt. They are still working at Piri Reis University, Istanbul as heads of the related departments.
