Guidance and Counseling service is a helping career that encompasses molding, rebuilding, and rehabilitating process. This exercise is individualistic in nature as it concerns the application of skillful experiences by a Counselor to assist clients/students attain proper development and maturity, improved functioning and ability to cope with life career challenges. The services of Guidance and Counselors are appraisal services, information services, counseling services, placement services, orientation services, referral services, research services, follow-up, and evaluation services to make a veritable impact amongst students. This study focused on assessing Guidance and Counseling Services in public secondary schools in the Enugu metropolis.

Mr. Paul, Obiora James holds an MSc and PGD, in Banking and Finance, both from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Likewise an HND and OND in Banking and Finance both from the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu. He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. He is also a Licensed Teacher.
