In the past decade, the global health field has seen a number of interventions that tried to integrate health services for various purposes. In Dodola town there are many health extensions that assigned to teach and improve the utilization of maternal health packages but because of many factors such as the knowledge of the community and the facilities that provided to improve the status maternal health package could not be show improvement. The research has followed non probability sampling (purposive sampling) technique to choose the study area and study targets due to the researchers better understanding of the study area. Based on this the researcher selected 5 health extension workers in Dodola town and 60 women who are taking prenatal and postnatal care at Dodola health center. The first and second objectives were analyzed using descriptive statistics such as percentages and frequency only the third objective was analyzed by the use of correlation statistics. Result of maternity health care indicated that the role of health extension workers in terms of maternity health care is very poor.
