Zusatztext

The relationship between plants and human beings is as old as human civilization on the earth. Plants offer all the three basic needs of the humans viz, Food, clothes and shelter. Most of the daily used things are gradually conversions of plant products. All the food of herbivores comes from the plants as vegetables, fruits, cereals, pulses, etc. Even the large populations of animals directly or indirectly depends upon the producers ie green plants. In this way we can say, "All flesh is grass." Although most of the Food plants are now cultivated through the Globe, Many of the ethnic communities living in or in the vicinity of the forests still depend upon the Woods for there Food. Some common wild plants that are used as Food have been discussed about in this manuscript.
