<p><strong>¿</strong><strong>John Connell</strong> is Professor of Human Geography at the University of Sydney. He has worked on development issues in the Asia-Pacific region and written several articles and books on tourism. The articles cover tourism in places as distinct as North Korea, Bali, Niue, Jamaica and Vanuatu. The books include <em>Medical Tourism</em> (2011), <em>Music and Tourism: On the Road Again</em> (2005, with Chris Gibson), <em>Tourism at the Grassroots: Villagers and Visitors in the Asia</em>-Pacific (2008, with Barbara Rugendyke), and <em>Outback Elvis</em> (with Chris Gibson, 2017).</p> <p><strong>Phil McManus </strong>is Professor of Urban and Environmental Geography at the University of Sydney. He is the (co)author/editor of over 100 publications, many in international leading journals. Phil has been President of the Institute of Australian Geographers and the Geographical Society of NSW and is currently a Vice-President of the International Geographical Union.</p> <p><strong>Xuesong Ding </strong>is Research Assistant Professor in the Jackson School of Geosciences at the University of Texas at Austin, USA. She has an established interests in Chinese tourism worldwide, with a specific focus on how social media is reshaping the traditional tourism map.</p>
