    • Helena Blavatsky's 'The Essential Works of Helena Blavatsky' is a seminal collection of the philosopher's most influential writings, including 'The Secret Doctrine' and 'Isis Unveiled'. Blavatsky's literary style is characterized by a profound exploration of esoteric teachings, spiritualism, and the occult, making her work a cornerstone of theosophical literature. Her unique blend of Eastern and Western philosophy offers readers a deep understanding of metaphysical concepts and the mysteries of the universe. The book provides a comprehensive overview of Blavatsky's revolutionary ideas and their impact on the spiritual and philosophical landscape of the 19th century. Helena Blavatsky, a prominent figure in the spiritualist movement of the late 19th century, was a prolific writer and co-founder of the Theosophical Society. Her travels and studies of Eastern religions and philosophies greatly influenced her work, leading her to challenge traditional religious dogma and promote a more holistic understanding of spirituality. I highly recommend 'The Essential Works of Helena Blavatsky' to readers interested in exploring the depths of metaphysical and spiritual teachings. Blavatsky's writings offer a unique perspective on the nature of reality and the interconnectedness of all life, making this collection a valuable addition to any philosophical library.

    • Thomas Aquinas was one of the most significant Christian thinkers of the middle ages and ranks among the greatest philosophers and theologians of all time. In the mid-thirteenth century, as a teacher at the University of Paris, Aquinas presided over public university-wide debates on questions that could be put forward by anyone about anything. The Quodlibetal Questions are Aquinas's edited records of these debates. Unlike his other disputed questions, which are limited to a few specific topics such as evil or divine power, Aquinas's Quodlibetal Questions contain his treatment of hundreds of questions on a wide range of topics--from ethics, metaphysics, philosophy of mind, and philosophy of religion to dogmatic theology, sacramental theology, moral theology, eschatology, and much more. And, unlike his other disputed questions, none of the questions treated in his Quodlibetal Questions were of Aquinas's own choosing--they were all posed for him to answer by those who attended the public debates. As such, this volume provides a window onto the concerns of students, teachers, and other interested parties in and around the university at that time. For the same reason it contains some of Aquinas's fullest, and in certain cases his only, treatments of philosophical and theological questions that have maintained their interest throughout the centuries.

    • Helena Petrovna Blavatsky (often abbreviated as H.P. Blavatsky or HPB, 18311891) was one of the most influential occultists of the 19th century, whose works sparked the modern New Age movement and theosophy. A Russian philosopher, spiritualist, and author, she is best known as the co-founder of the Theosophical Society in 1875, alongside Henry Steel Olcott and William Quan Judge. With an extensive knowledge of Eastern and Western esoteric traditions, Blavatsky's literary contributions have ignited interest in spiritualism, mysticism, and esoterica through her major works, which include 'The Secret Doctrine', 'Isis Unveiled', and 'The Key to Theosophy'. These seminal texts are often captured under compilations such as 'The Essential Works of Helena Blavatsky', offering readers an insightful entry point into the heart of her teachings. Blavatsky's writing style is characterized by a synthesis of philosophy, religion, and science, aimed at uncovering universal truths and promoting a spiritual awakening that transcends conventional religious dogma. Her influence extends beyond her written works, shaping the foundation of esoteric traditions and constituting a pivotal step towards the spiritual pluralism seen in contemporary society.
